Hi! My name is Dan, and I'm a photographer. I’ve been active on and off for the last couple of years; I’ve kept myself busy with modelling, cosplay, weddings, pet portraits, parties and animal shows and had the best time doing it. The issue was that I was also working full-time as an assistant manager in retail. My job took up so much of my time and energy that it made it incredibly difficult to fully commit to chasing my passions of photography, videography and audio engineering. The job required me to be available from 7.30 to 20.30, as well as working most weekends, and as you can imagine, that made scheduling sessions an absolute nightmare. This finally came to a head back in November, when I finally - after 13 years - quit my job. I spent the next few months frantically renovating our new home, then laying the foundations for my future endeavours, and now here I am, ready to share those with you.
First of all, I’ve made such major changes to the services that I offer. Previously, my online store was connected to a third-party print lab and every order came from them. They printed and shipped the orders and I had no chance to quality check the prints, or add any kind of personal touch. They also had pretty high service charges which left me unable to offer much in the way of sales or discounts as there was hardly any profit in the first place to keep costs down for my customers. That has all changed now: our new home has become our creative haven, with our own custom design studio and print lab. I now print, package and ship every order myself, from my home, to yours! This means I can check every print, I can offer you my best prices, run seasonal sales and provide custom packaging. More on that later!
I can print anything from the standard 4x6 photography size, up to A3. I’ve had some of my A3 prints on my walls for the last few weeks and they’re exquisite. They make beautiful features for your favourite photographs! You also have the option of framed A4 or A3 prints, in black or white. The A4 frames are freestanding and can be hung from walls, and the A3 frames are only for hanging.
This means you can order a set of standard size prints, as well as larger prints of your favourite photos; they’ll look great in your home but they also make fantastic gifts for your loved ones! But that wasn’t enough, I wanted to be able to offer something more…
My fiancée and I are prone to getting carried away with big ideas, so when we had the idea to invest in an xTool S1 laser engraving and cutting machine, we had to follow through! This wonderful machine allows me to turn your photos into practically anything. I currently offer these lovely slate coasters that turn your photos into practical items you can use every day, and will soon be offering so much more as we move forwards, such as phone cases, kitchenware, travel mugs, hanging signs and so much more. I even use it to create my own custom packaging, so every detail is designed, printed or engraved with care, from me to you.
To celebrate this relaunch, now that I’m able to focus entirely on my passion projects, I’m running a 25% sale on all of my Galleries! Just use the code SPRING25 at Checkout for 25% off your entire basket. So whichever gallery brought you here - be it a dog show, horse show, wedding gallery or kid’s birthday - just jump back in and order your favourites with 25% off until the end of April!
My fiancée and I have also launched our own Etsy Store, Sleepy Leaf (I’ll drop the link below), in which we sell all of my fiancée’s handmade jewellery and our range of engraved items adorned with our custom designs based on our favourite media franchises. We’ll be expanding this over time to include our artwork and custom engraving services. Feel free to take a look!

So that’s what I’ve been up to! I’m finally in a position where I can focus entirely on my passion projects and my them to life and I’ve never been happier. Now it’s time to take the next steps, so I’ll be looking to fill my calendar with more weddings, pet portraits, parties, events, family portraits and so much more! If you need a photographer at all, just give me a shout and we’ll see what we can do! Make sure to follow me on Facebook and Instagram or keep an eye on my website to stay up to date, but I’ll also post out the occasional newsletter when I’ve got something in particular going on. If you’ve made it this far, thanks for all your support so far, and thanks for not clicking that Unsubscribe button! ;)
Take care,
Dan
